Near Sam's home are some clear-flowing rivers which are not only picturesque but also hold some of the most beautiful brown trout (not to mention Salmon) in France. Rivers like the Odet, Steïr, and Jet (not to mention countless feeder streams), and a bit further afield, the Léguer and Jaudy rivers in Côte d'Armor, will enchant visiting fly fishermen as they fire a dry fly upstream or bumbles a weighted nymph along a rock-strewn bottom to entice these wily creatures.

You can start fly fishing for these feisty browns or stream-run salmon from mid March to mid September. For more details such as recommended equipment and flies feel free to email Sam.
