Walking...Finistère is a walker’s paradise with the most unexpected and varied terrain in Brittany. Whilst the famous GR34 coastal path is well-known, the interior has many surprises to offer. France has an excellent set of footpath systems all clearly marked.

From Stang Korvenn you are ideally situated to explore:

  • Finistère's coastline stretches to over 800km and ranges from rugged headlands, sand dunes, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages.

  • The regions of the Montagnes Noires and Monts D'Arree, where heights can reach above 300m, offer stunning views but much of the other terrain lies below 100m which can make for very pleasant hiking.

  • Local tourist boards also arrange themed itineraries from exploring La Route des Peintres en Cournouaille which follows the traces of the famous artists who have lived in the region from Paul Gauguin (Pont Aven) to Paul Serusier (Chateauneuf du Faou).

We have a set of walking books and ordnance survey maps available.

Cycling...There is mountain bike hire available locally or you can bring your own and we can provide dry storage for you. As with walking there are many, many routes to choose from.
