Booking Conditions
Please read these conditions carefully as they are the terms of your contract with us.
Agreed bookings will not be confirmed until full deposit minimum of 25% has been received.
Pencilled bookings will only be held open for seven days pending receipt of deposit. The full balance is due 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival.
If you make a booking less than 8 weeks before your intended holiday we will require payment in full. All prices are quoted in Euros/English Pounds and cheques in either currency should be made payable to Samuel and Amanda Davis.
Cancellations
Your deposit will be refunded in full if you cancel more than 8 weeks in advance of your holiday--if less than 8 weeks, we will attempt to re-let the accommodation, and if successful, refund all or part of the fees paid. You must appreciate that the shorter the notice, the less likely we will be able to re-let the accommodation. You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance to cover any financial loss resulting from unavoidable cancellation.
Accommodation
The gîte is let from 3 pm on the date of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on the date of departure. This allows us time to prepare for each new arrival. However, if you have a late flight/ferry, we would be happy to store your luggage in our secure storage area.
We ask that you not use bleach or anti-bacterial cleaners since they can affect the efficiency of the waste system. We provide a welcome pack of some essentials for your arrival.
We respect both our smoking and non-smoking guests. Although we ask that guests not smoke in the gîte, for those guests who do smoke, we offer them a custom-built smoking hut located just in front of the gîte which is equipped with chairs and a table.
Please inform us of any breakages immediately so we can rectify things.
We will not be liable for any failure of electricity, gas or water supplies to the gite; nor in regard of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the accommodation or grounds; nor any other matters beyond our 'reasonable' control; nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by any guest should the property be destroyed or substantially damaged prior to the rental period, other than the amount already paid by you in respect of the rental. Under no circumstances shall our liability to you exceed the amount paid to us by you for the rental period.
The use of the accommodation, grounds, equipment or other amenities is entirely at your risk and we accept no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to guests personally, their belongings or vehicles. You are strongly advised to bring healthcare cover with you.
