Sea Bass and other Sea Fishing

Whether found lurking off inshore rocks and estuaries, offshore wrecks and reefs, or running in big shoals in breaking waves, Brittany has its fair share of big seabass and pollack and other sea fishes. Sam has broken through the language and local-knowledge barrier to provide visiting anglers with clear information so they too can connect with these wonderful sea-predators. The season for sea bass normally starts in mid/late march and runs to the end of the year while pollack can be caught year-round. For seabass you can fly or lure fish from the shores of many rocky bays near or in the Bay of Brest, fish local estuaries from a boat, or simply go offshore in search rocky fish-holding structure where the big seabass can be found hounding sandeels and other prey. All can be arranged for your fishing pleasure. For pollack ans wrasse, Sam recommends going offshore to fish the many productive GPS marques. No license is required to sea fish and tackle can be provided with advance notice.
