  • May Fete de La St.Michel, Mont St.Michel. Spring folk festival

  • June Fete de la Musique. All France. Around 21st June, musicians take to the street and stages.

  • Viox des Pays, Fougeres. Concerts held in the Chateau on weekend in June..

  • Art Rock Festival, St.Brieuc. International musicians.

  • Fete de la morue (cod festival!) Binic, 25,6 & 7th June. Boats and sea shanties!

  • July Folklore du Monde, St.Malo. International folk music 1st week of July.

  • Bastille Day. July 14th-All France. The most important day in French history.

  • Tombees de la Nuit (Breton arts festival) Rennes. First 10 days of July.

  • Festival harpe celtique, Dinan, around 14th July.

  • Fetes du Bocage vitreen, Vitre. 1st two weeks July. Folk dancing and singing.

  • Fete des Ramparts, Dinan. Locals dress in medieval costume. Mid July every 2nd year (even numbers!)

  • Jeudies du Port, Brest. Song festival every Thursday evening in July & August..

  • Festival des Arts dans la Rue, Morlaix. Mid Jjuly to mid August.

  • Les Nocturiales, Redon. Medieval, baroque & Celtic music festival from early July to the end of August.

  • August Fete de la Mer, Dahouet port. Sea Shanties & dancing.

  • Fete du Chant de Marin, Paimpol. 3 day celebration of wooden sailing ships.

  • Fete de la St-Loup, Guingamp. Week long festival of Breton dancing. Starts the Sunday following 15th August.

  • Route du Rock, St.Malo. Mid August for 3 days. International Rock festival.

  • Fete medievale, Montcontour-de-Bretagne. Medieval festival held during the 2nd half of August

  • Fete folklorique de Hortensias. (hydrangea festival), Perros-Guirec. Throughout the month.
