Click here to Book Our Gîte Your gîte, modern luxuries wrapped in rustic charm Our home, Stang Korvenn, is situated on the left bank of the River Aulne, just south of the pretty market town of Châteauneuf-du-Faou in Finistere, Brittany. You can walk through the garden to gain direct private access to the river where you can walk, cycle, horse-ride, or fish for miles on end. You can also hire locally a canoe and cruise at your own leisurely pace. Just across the bridge by our house is the 365 km river towpath which directly connects the walker or cyclist with many charming villages and towns. Bird watching enthusiasts are in for a treat as they can observe iridescent kingfishers, gracile herons, and majestic birds of prey which are in abundance among other wildlife. Riverside Cottage is attached to the far end of our 19th century Breton longère and it is a wonderfully cosy place to spend your holidays. It has 2 bedrooms which sleeps 4 adults plus a baby. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room to take care of an extra adult. It has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard which from 2005 included a new living room, kitchen and bathroom suite. Living room: comfortable living space with SKY free view and loads of sitting room and pull-out sofa bed. Separate kitchen/dining room: dine in a light, contemporary setting. Bathroom: boasts a very large modern luxury shower with multiple jets, wash basin and separate W.C. Upstairs hosts 2 bedrooms, one with a stylish double bed and the other with Breton-styled twin beds (or double bed if desired). Riverside Cottage has its own front garden area right outside the door, which is a perfect place for you to relax and for the children to play. There is also a lovely private back garden with children's swing set and play area. A front field is yours to play in if you want to kick a football around or play badninton. Garden furniture, barbeque, and bike storage area is also provided. Cot (with natural-fibre mattress) and high-chair are available--just ask. Bed linen, towels, and a welcome pack of basics (e.g. milk, bread etc.) are included in the rental cost. Modern, fully-fitted self-catering kitchen The living room is a cozy place to relax after a hard day's fishing or fun-seeking! Spiral bedroom: Comfort and Tranquility Dash of Breton comfort for those sharing a room.  A beautiful double bed can be provided at your request.
