The Davis family consisting of Sam, Amanda, Flora, Theo, Wilbur (dog), Bibi (cat) and their newest canine edition, Molly, plus a myriad of fish and other wildlife adopted by Theo, live riverside near the village of Laz, just south of the market town of Châteauneuf du Faou. Before moving to Brittany they were living in the south-coast city of Brighton, England. After receiving his doctorate from the University of London and doing a stint in the UK fly fishing industry, Sam left his R & D position at St George's Medical School to become a professional fishing guide in Finistère, Brittany. Sam, who was born in Japan, was raised in South Carolina (USA) where all kinds of fishing and outdoor life go hand-in-hand. Sam's wife, Amanda, worked for Vogue magazine in London and now manages all things family when she is not out in the garden or designing custom quilts. Amanda and the kids are all originally from Brighton.

We have always dreamed of running a business which marries our passions for fishing, food, and the outdoors, hence the birth of this new Anglo-American-French venture which is entering its 6th year of operation.
